FOTD: SUQQU Sumiredama & MAKE Jakarta

This was supposed to be a New Old Face post, but I realized that most of these products, I’ve used quite a bit already anyway, there was no “new” factor to it. Anyway, I wore this on our Taiwan trip. I didn’t remember to take many FOTDs, so here’s one I did remember taking, heh. After years of overpacking makeup when I travel, I finally realized that going with a neutral eye is the best way to go. You can pair it with so many things like a bold lip or pops of color, and so on. I didn’t have to powder my face, either. I quite like this base combo! Made-Up History: Takashi Murakami’s 727, 1996

A quick look based on Takashi Murakami’s 727, which features DOB as the main character of the piece. I’ve been intending to do this look for a while, but just never got around to it. Takashi Murakami is a Japanese artist who’s known for blurring the lines between “high” and “low” art, that is, fine and commercial art. He has exhibited in international venues (I saw this piece in a retrospective/special exhibit by the Brooklyn Museum many, many years ago) and is involved with many commercial projects such as special edition Louis Vuittons.
