Hey ho! I have a short review on this lipstick I got a few months ago that I don’t think I’ve properly worn out for the sole reason that it makes me feel uncomfortable. For some reason, I put myself on this mad hunt for the MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 2 lipstick, which is a selection that’s completely out of character for me, since I tend to really, really loathe frost finishes. I do have someone to blame for this purchase, and that’s Liz, because look at how beautiful it is on her!
I mean, look at the frost on this mother. It’s described as a “cool mauve,” but to my eyes, it’s just pretty fucking bronze, to be honest. But anyway. It’s kind of a warm, frosty gunmetal type of color that, again, isn’t really my usual style. I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to eye makeup, but I really, really, really shy away from overly bright/weird lip colors for some reason. And right now, I’ve yet to decide if Viva Glam Rihanna 2 falls under “I’M GONNA FEEL WEIRD THE ENTIRE DAY WITH THIS ON MY LIPS” or “HELL YEAH I FEEL LIKE A BAMF.” Who even knows.

In any case, I do like it enough to keep trying… I think I just need to figure out what type of event or occasion I want to rock this. Probably not at the office, though.

Haha this post made me laugh. That’s definitely an interesting lip color. I’m lip color shy to because I also play up my eyes a lot. Not sure I could rock this and feel comfortable. I got a lipstick earlier this week too that I am not sure why I bought it – it’s a purple-y.

I have never commented here before. But I like it! With a few tweaks you could be an understated little bronze goddess with that color. Just my opinion 🙂

The other day, I put on a weird olive brown/green lipstick (Trickery from NYX’s Wicked lip collection), and then I promptly forgot about it. I was home all day, though. It was only when my boyfriend came home and said something about my lip color that I remembered.
So… maybe wear it around inside and take note of how you feel about it when you catch a glimpse in the mirror? 😛

Haha, even the lighting makes it seem like you are in hiding! You can rock it in a shoot, probably, or, hell, wear it @ work! Nothing says “Leave me alone, I’m working” than unsettling lip color. (I swear I mean all this as a compliment.)
