I’ve used the Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Abundance, and featured it here so many times, so it baffles me how there isn’t a dedicated review for this—one of my favorite blushes in the world—yet. I was so, so curious about Kjaer Weis that I took the plunge and ordered their cream foundation and their cream blush after a lot of research, mainly because they are frakking expensive.
I don’t think I would have ordered these in my current state of mind, let’s just put it that way.
I’m kind of really glad I did, though, because this is a marvelous product. Kjaer Weis makes certified organic beauty products with a refillable system. Their compacts are heavy and expensive—this blush will set you back $56 (or $32 for the refill, which is magnetized if you want to go the Z-palette route).
“Abundance is a plummy taupe with an iridescent finish. A rich color that gives cheeks a modern glow,” says Kirsten Kjaer Weis, creator and namesake of… Kjaer Weis (haha). It’s such a perfect description, too! Upon swatching, or just even looking at the product in the compact, it seems like a candidate for ruddy, muddy cheeks. Belly actually warns about that, as it’s what happened to her. On me, though, I love how it looks.
Some notes on the blush, c/o KjaerWeis.com:
— An iridescent finish leaves cheeks with a slightly shimmering glow.
— Perfect for adding rich color to pale to medium skin tones, or as a highlighter for medium-dark skin with golden undertones.
— Blends beautifully on the skin, using either fingers or a brush.
I personally like using my fingers. It blends so well into the skin. I also really love this shade because it eliminates the need for a contour and it goes with practically any look. Because I love the formula so much, I’ve been tempted to pick up a few more shades, but I still haven’t, even after six-ish months just because I have a shit ton of blush, and honestly, Abundance is the best shade for me.
Those lip tints, though…
Have you tried Kjaer Weis?
