A rather spring-appropriate 5 Product Face in the winter—oops. I used several new products in my arsenal in this look and I’m excited to share my initial thoughts on them. A quick note, though: these photos were taken about 6 or 7 hours after application and only the cheek/lip color was reapplied.
The concealer, I’ve been applying in an upside-down triangle and I’ve noticed that it does work better that way for brightening. I also put the NARS RCC on a few spots on my nose and my chin. My brows are c/o a new product I got in Korea that I’ve been liking. The idea is similar to the Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil, but this one by Nature Republic is tons cheaper and works out well enough for me.
I’ve taken a liking to applying blush—especially non-neutrals—on the apples of my cheeks, and this mousse-to-powder product from 3CE is in the perfect shade for a cute-sy flushed look. This was tricky to work with on the lips, but I read on the product page that it works better by tapping on the lips, rather than rubbing, which causes the product to bunch up in an unsightly way.
I recently placed an order for some color cosmetics from Ellis Faas and this lilac taupe cream eyeshadow was something I knew I had to have. The formula is SO GOOD—budge, crease, and smudge-proof, I’m in love. The liner is a staple item and drawn on slightly drooping but winged out.
