The Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream is a mouthful. It’s also a pretty cool product!
Product Description: “‘Super Aqua Max’ is a high-performance hydrating cream which infuses extra moisture and refreshment back to skin with an energizing complex of deep-sea minerals from maritime plants while extracts of chlorella, seaweed, plankton, and water-soluble collagen and hyaluronic acid help to strengthen skin’s ability to defend itself against external aggressors and dehydration.”
It’s meant to be used as the last step of daily skin care routine.
The texture is interesting, almost like a whipped gel. I expected it to be heavy on the face, but it turned out to be quite light and it actually settled in pretty easily. The smell is super fresh and clean. It’s a little heavy, but I love it so much.
Here’s a funny shot before putting anything on my face. It’s bare & clean!
This is a shot of me using the cream as a base… As you can see not much of a difference, but it provides awesome hydration for day use. And, under makeup (I used a CC Cream here), it holds up really well:
I think it’s great for day use, because it’s simply not moisturizing enough for me (I have dry skin) for use at night, and I already live in a pretty humid country.
I think a lot of the stuff on the box is superfluous and just added for cuteness: Braille over the ingredient list in super shorthand, “eco-friendly paper” and “printed in soy ink.” I mean, those are generally nice gestures, but I don’t think they add anything to the product and one panel of the box is dedicated to that. I’d love to know more about this Aqua Cream instead, you know?
I do love the swirly top cap, though:
All in all, I think this is an okay cream, but I wouldn’t purchase it for myself since it doesn’t suit my needs for a night cream. I think it’s something to look into if you have oily or combination skin since the moisture content may be enough for you.
