BRTC Jasmine Whipping Essence*

BRTC - Jasmine Whipping Essence

Today’s bnt girls review comes in the form of the BRTC Jasmine Whipping Essence, which is the second step of the Jasmine Moist System. I only have this to try out for you, and based on the information sheet it comes with, it goes on before your makeup.

The Jasmine Water System is perfect for “soft, bright skin” and you must use it if:
— your skin is so dry that it can’t hold makeup on for long
— your skin looks rough and bumpy
— your skin looks dull and lifeless
— you want to add a nice dewy glow to your skin

It’s meant for dry, rough skin and features, obviously, the jasmine flower for aromatherapeutic purposes. “Blue Phyto Complex is added to hydrate skin and relieve itchiness from dry weather and internal/external stress, promoting a soft, supple complexion.” Phew!

BRTC - Jasmine Whipping Essence - Dual Layer

The Jasmine 3D Whipping Essence is a dual-layered whipped serum for soft skin. The literature it comes with says that it serves to add a nice dewy glow to your skin for a healthy look. The natural oils and emulsifiers also create a protective barrier and increase the skin’s moisture-retaining ability for long-lasting comfort and softness.

I know that’s a lot to take in, but this is more of a skin care product than anything, and I want to make sure I evaluate it properly. :) I have figured out that I have dry skin, but it’s not super fussy. I’m also lucky that I live in a country with a pretty high humidity, so I don’t really get dry-skin problems on my face a lot. I do need moisture, though, and usually a serum does it for me already that I don’t need to top it off with moisturizer.

Before conducting this test, I used my favorite serum, Aesop’s Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum, but I stopped that completely so I can test this out well. This is also why this is the last of my bntgirls stash that I am reviewing. :) I’ve been using this since the 5th, so I figured that was adequate time for me to determine whether or not this was a yay or a nay for me.

Right off the bat, there is a strong floral scent that I don’t appreciate since I regard this as a skin care product… Must be the jasmine? It wears away however, so that’s alright with me. The serum itself is liquid-y, like watered down milk, which is what I would describe the color as well. The purple gradient is just the color of the packaging. :)

The product itself is very mild and gentle, and it seeps into the skin really flawlessly. It’s great for some light moisture, especially under makeup. The texture of my skin is noticeably smoother, though I don’t think it did very well in terms of eliminating the spots I had. I didn’t get any more spots or blemishes, but I didn’t see much improvement in that area either.

Here, I’ve worn it under the Graymelin CC Base Cream. I think there’s some glowiness, but there is definitely no oily shine:

It’s a really good moisturizer for the day, but I find it too light for a night treatment. After this test, I’ve decided to go back to using my Aesop serum at night, and just wearing this one under my makeup when I need more moisture. :)

You can purchase this online through Sasa.
