I haven’t been perusing makeup counters in a while. Physically, anyway. I’ve rather been click-happy when it comes to cosmetics post-Christmas, because I had some extra money from gifts and such. I tucked most of it in the bank, but of course, I couldn’t help shopping for some items for myself, too.
The trouble with shopping online is that it always feels like I have to go through hoops and needle eyes before I get my things. Two weeks into the new year and I’ve “acquired” a lot of items but haven’t gotten any of them. It’s a rather odd feeling to have less money but nothing in my hands. I suppose that’s a test of patience, which I wasn’t particularly good at to begin with, anyway.
I was about to give in and run to the nearest mall to just buy something to get rid of this makeup itch, when a package arrived at my doorstep! Yay, bareMinerals! You have saved the day.
I ordered these when a bunch of items I was looking at went on sale. I’ve been wanting to try more of their products ever since I fell in love with bareMinerals Ready 2.0 in The Scenic Route.
bareMinerals doesn’t accept Philippine credit cards, so I thought I would give the GCASH/American Express tie-up a chance. It was a breeze, once I got the hang of the GCASH system. The hardest part was trying to put money in my account! Anyway, I picked up five items, which I will try and review when I have more time. (I’ve been working extra hard, see.) Here’s what I got:
- Prime Time Eye Primer (Bronzed Twig) — $12
- Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow (The Cocktail Hour) — $32 from $40
- Ready 8.0 Eyeshadow (The September Issue) — $17.15 from $40
- Ready Luminizer (The Love Affair) — $20 from $26
- Mineral Veil (Original) — $20
Overall, I’m happy with my “haul.” Stay tuned for more in-depth reviews! Have you ordered any items that you’re keen on getting? Do share!
